Oral Appliances

An oral appliance is a mouthguard that fits over your teeth to position your jaw forward while sleeping. This helps to prevent the soft tissues of your throat from collapsing, allowing air to pass through and enabling you to sleep better. These mouthguards are also known as Mandibular Advancement Splints or MAS. Studies have shown they are more effective than CPAP machines since people tend to wear them for longer periods throughout the night. There are several designs available, and we can customize one that is comfortable for you. Additionally, oral appliances can be made for Sleep Bruxism. Though different, they are made from the same smooth and fitted material. These appliances help to relieve the muscles and protect the teeth from wear and cracking.
